RemarksWow! First time on the new speedboard at the pit and blown away by the result. It seems I lucked onto the perfect conditions for my boards maiden run.

The tide was high but the water very smooth with a slack tide. Light was going quickly when I hit the water, but after scoffing down the Christmas Turkey followed by a 2 hour drive I had to get out there.

My final runs were almost in total darkness, a very eerie experience.

After my first 'shakedown' run I looked at the GPS and saw 45knots! I felt consistently fast throughout most of the course so i was quite sure i had bettered 41.8knots as an average. I managed 7 runs in total before calling it quits, and the track log shows some incredibly consistent runs.

I was running in very shallow water (a couple of inches) . On checking out the course the next day i am not sure this was a good idea. Quite a few sticks etc. in the shallows.
